We are stoked to announce the 2019 Golden Bike Cruise season! As ever, come enjoy Bikes, Bands & Brews, on the last Tuesday evening of each month from May through September. Summer evenings in downtown Golden are simply the best. All ages welcome. Free admission. Bob's Atomic Burgers. New Terrain Brews. Awesome Local Bands. Raffle Prizes. If you ride, bring your bicycle 'cos we cruise the neighborhoods from 7pm-8pm. You'll need to complete an insurance waiver before you ride. You can do that online here with eventbrite to speed up the check-in process. Or you can take care of it on Cruise nights. If you don't ride, come enjoy the vibe anyway. Join Colorado Open Lands on a walking tour of this 13-acre farm in the heart of Wheat Ridge. Learn how Dr. Amanda Weaver is using soil, water, and farm animals to enrich statewide agricultural practices. Then, stick around to help spruce up the barn with a fresh coat of paint! Lunch and water will be provided. Please Note: Due to the nature of the property and schedule for the day, attendees must be 15 year of age or older to attend. No pets will be permitted on the property.

Hosted by Golden United, the City of Golden, and Foothills Art Center Spend a summer evening in the beautiful Foothills Art Center courtyard envisioning the future of Golden. We will discuss our visions for Golden and how we can manage development to align with key goals, including preserving Golden’s small town character, access to affordable housing, and sustainability. We will collectively discuss options for regulating land-use and development and strategies for strengthening communication and engagement of residents in planning and zoning processes. SheJumps Ales & Flows: Beer Yoga at New Terrain Brewing

Come enjoy a flow-filled vinyasa yoga class and sip beer while meeting other awesome ladies of the Front Range. We will start with an hour-long yoga class led by one of our very own Girafficorns! This will be a flow vinyasa class, suitable for all ability levels, with options to challenge yourself. Be sure to stick around afterwards to grab a drink and food, while getting to know other SheJumpers in your community. This is a donation-based class, with a suggested donation of $10. Cost of drinks and food are not included. Register ahead of time on eventbrite or show up and register at the event. This is a BYOM (bring your own mat) event; contact Sarah at sfoster@shejumps.org if you need help finding a mat. We welcome all women and girls (transgender and cisgender) as well as non-binary people who identify with the women’s community.
QMAP Certificate Training - 2 Day Training - June 6 & 7

Jefferson Center for Mental Health (JCMH) offers a class to obtain the Qualified Medication Administration Personnel (QMAP) certificate. The class is taught by a JCMH instructor and is offered roughly every 3 months. The class is broken up into one day of classroom education and the following day is the written and practicum test. The classroom day is from 8am to 5pm. At the end of the classroom day students sign up for their preferred testing time for the following day. The test day usually takes students about 2 hours to complete depending on each student. Day 1 - Classroom DayDay 2 - Testing Day (Typically takes 2 hours) **Please note you are registering for day 1 and will sign up for your day 2 testing time after class. You must attend testing day to complete your certification**

Many victims and survivors of deomestic violence will be retraumitized by their experiences with the legal system.  Do you feel confident in your knowledge and skills to help support these clients navigate their way through the legal process? Unfortunately in the typical counseling or social work programs there is little taught about the judicial system, especially around issues that arise when working with these victims and survivors.  Many therapists shy away from any cases where the legal system may come into play because of a lack of knowledge and confidence.  In this training, you will walk away: Understanding of basic legal information and situations your client may experience Understanding the differences between criminal and civil court and issues your client may experience with both Understanding of the current research and climate of the legal system that affect victims and survivors of domestic violence Understanding of your role as their clinician or caseworker  Some steps you can take to support your clients navigate their experiences with the legal system
